First and foremost, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hope you guys are enjoying the season by pigging out on candy and passing out what is left to the trick-or-treaters who wander over to my apartment. Why? Because I won't feel so bad about doing it, if I know I'm not alone. In any case, over the weekend, I decided to give in to my true nature and dressed up like a witch, and my boyfriend agreed to allow me to paint his face as a zombie and we drove all around Venice Saturday night, trying to find a party. The only problem was that I had forgotten my phone at home, as well as the street address, so we ended up coming back home, enjoying a Photo Booth photo shoot and watched TV. I feel like there was Taco Bell involved in there somewhere.

Hi guys!
So, as you may have seen, on the site, I had an interview with Kevin Bacon and I was pretty damn nervous, since I actually avoid direct contact with celebrities at all costs. I usually prefer to just take their picture and run, or write about them from the comfort of my own home. However, this time, I was actually excited since Kevin Bacon is an actor who really seems to be grounded and also has been in a lot of film roles that I admire. Because of my nerdy love for good film, I was really happy to get a chance to talk to him one-on-one, as well as with Marcia Gay Harden. Good times.
The weird thing is that while Wayne and I were standing at the red carpet waiting to do interviews, I noticed some tiny bits of white on my shirt and that Wayne also had some of the same on him. Turns out it was some of the ash floating around in the wind, carried from the crazy fires that are burning in and around Los Angeles. Oddly enough, I was staying up in Big Bear Lake this weekend, falling in love with the area, only to return back Sunday afternoon to find out that fires had broken out in Malibu and were being carried in the direction of the place we had left.

Hola! As we speak, the cable guy is on his way to my apartment to get me set up with my cable box and enable me to experience a television overdose that hasn't been seen for quite some time. You see, I haven't had cable television for over four years and I'm now hooked up with my new TiVo and cable and I'm a little concerned my head might explode. However, I realized that if I'm going to be staying current with gossip and whatnot, I needed to upgrade. Much like me, ASL is also planning some major upgrades coming up here pretty soon. We offered a survey for you guys, to voluntarily fill out and help us figure out what things you'd like to see on the site and what stuff you wanted to see less of. I want to thank all of you who gave us your input--and please know that you can always email me any time with suggestions and whatnot.

Yay! Fall has arrived. It's one of my favorite times of the year (or at least in the top four), with the weather changing ever-so-slightly and Halloween right around the corner. I know people accuse Los Angelenos of not having weather changes but we do. We just can't help it that every season is just a variation of "perfect." That's why our rent is so damn expensive, so get out of our faces already! But seriously, I really am looking forward to spending Halloween in my new apartment complex filled with kids. This year, I'm keeping the costume simple and authentic--that's right, the Wicked Witch of the West. And none of that "sexy witch " crap either. We're talking big, black skirt, pointy hat and green face make-up. I'm already genetically predisposed to being able to successfully pull off the look (have you seen my chin and nose?) and LOVE face paint above all else.
