The GLAAD Media Awards

Mariska Hargitay is one of my fave-raves. Why is Special Victims Unit so addictive? It's on 24-7 yet I am always forced to watch and see what kind of completely deranged and disgusting crime they're going to feature. Here she is at the GLAAD Media Awards which was held last night.

Among those honored this year were MTV and Logo President of Entertainment Brian Graden (I'm "President of Entertainment" in my apartment because the boyfriend lost the election after suggesting we watch Cars the other night), and Judy Shepard, head of the Matthew Shepard Foundation.

As The World Turns was given the nod for Outstanding Daily Drama despite not letting the gay kids in love make out anymore, and Boston Legal won for Outstanding Individual Episode. Boston Legal doesn't have any actual LGBT characters as part of the main cast. Must have been a helluva visit from James Spader's queer cousin.

Here's snaps of the attendees. I love when they pad the guest list by throwing some ProjRun folks on there. That is Malan Breton, right? His creepy laugh prevented me from sleeping that ProjRun season.
