Rapper Xzibit’s Infant Son Passes Away

Xzibit is mourning the loss of his two-week-old son Xavier Kingston Joiner.

The rapper, 33, blogged the news on his MySpace page at 4:32 a.m. Monday — an hour after his son passed - under the headline “I have some bad news.”

He said his son (who arrived May 15) was born prematurely and it became extremely “difficult for him [to breathe] because his lungs were not strong enough to handle regular oxygen on his own.

“I must tell you,” the rapper went on, “it is [unnatural] for a parent to bury a child.”

He told parents “life is too short” and urged them to “hold on to your kids if you have them, protect them and show them you love them everyday you wake up.

“You can have all the material wealth in the universe, but it is NOTHING compared to having your family,” the rapper wrote. “I am thankful for all of my blessings and [I’m] not one to question God’s perfect plan, so I leave you with great love….”

He signed off: “R.I.P Xavier May 15th 2008 - May 26th 2008″
