Mike Myers Will Still Be Able To Whore His Terrible-Looking Movie Despite Universal Lot Fire

Oh, good. I was nervous. The MTV Movie Awards is still a go tonight , despite a ferocious fire that burned down several sections of the Universal Studios lot early this morning. Mike Myers is hosting, and he’s got that film The Love Guru coming out and I’m sure there are a whole bunch of skits planned with him playing his newest character that’s a take on the Maharishi and Doug Henning. Skits that were going to make you shift uncomfortably in your seat because they weren’t funny. And we wouldn’t want you to miss those. God, Mike Myers is annoying.

The fire reportedly started around 4:45 AM. It destroyed a building that holds the King Kong exhibit, threatened the “New York” outdoor set and was in danger of burning down the studio’s film vault. One firefighter was injured during the blaze. Poor bastard injures himself to insure Myers can sell his latest shit joke movie. And it has Jessica Alba in it. That’s a lot of stank.

200 city and county firefighters joined to fight the inferno, which had 100 foot flames and made some propane tanks explode. So it was like a movie, but deadly serious. Whirlybirds had to fly overhead and douse the place with water.

The awards show will go on tonight at 5 PM at Universal’s Gibson Amphitheater. Sarah Jessica Parker, Adam Sandler, Lindsay Lohan, Liv Tyler, Anne Hathaway, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Wahlberg, Jennifer Hudson, James Franco, Paris Hilton, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Nikki Blonsky, Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls are all expected to be subjected to Mike Myers torture.

“The show will go on as planned,” an MTV rep stated.
