On the heels of reports that Samantha Ronson recently changed her Facebook relationship status to “in a relationship,” she and Lindsay Lohan stepped out in New York City in coordinated fedoras on Thursday.

At the Sephora Celebrates Ten Years of Glamorous event, the pair kept mum, but Lohan’s mom Dina gushed about Ronson.

“I love Samantha,” Dina Lohan told reporters. “She’s like a child to me. They’re great friends and as long as my daughter is happy and healthy, it is what it is.”

Ronson, wearing her usual skinny jeans and shirt, spun a mix of ’80s tunes and current hits throughout the night, and Lohan, in a slinky multi-colored sequined dress, jammed alongside her.

Lohan spent the evening, drink-free, texting friends on her phone, playing with Ronson’s deejay equipment and posing for pictures.

At midnight, the two left together, holding hands.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson is the love affair that’s got tongues wagging around the globe.

And we’re happy to report that the relationship has been given the thumbs-up by someone who really matters - Sam’s big brother, Mark.

The uber-producer and his girlfriend, model Daisy Lowe, recently enjoyed a double date with the couple - and they couldn’t be happier about the unlikely pairing.

We caught up with stunning Daisy, 19, at the BT Homehub party in London’s In & Out club, and she told us: “I met Lindsay and Sam for the first time during the weekend before the Coachella festival.

“Sam is an amazing girl. The four of us had a brilliant time - a real laugh.”

And it seems that Daisy is also really taken with legendary party girl, Linds, 22. “Lindsay is really down to earth. Her and Sam make a lovely couple - they seem really happy.

“Their relationship is totally genuine. And they’re just so sweet together.

“Mark totally approves. But we’re not going to double-date again - I mean, would you go on a date with your brother? It’s just a bit weird and anyway they live in LA, so it’s kinda difficult.

“But I’d definitely love to see them again.”

After DJ’ing a brilliant set in front of celebs including Pixie Geldof, Coco Sumner and Alice Dellal, Daisy was snatched up in huge bear hug by Mark.
The pair, who have been dating for three months, then stayed for 20 minutes before dashing off in a waiting car.

Sam, 30, and Lilo have been linked for the past five months.

But the Mean Girls star only came out about the relationship earlier this month, describing Sam as the ‘person she cares most about’.

Since then they have been virtually inseparable with DJ Sam joining LiLo on the set of her latest movie, Labor Pains.

There may still be speculation but Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are in no hurry to deny their close relationship, if these pictures are anything to go by.

Holding hands as they walked through the set of Lohan’s latest film Labour Pains, the pair couldn’t keep the smile off their faces.

Knowing the message the photos would send, they appeared to be relaxed, natural and delighted to see each other.

Due to Lindsay’s filming commitments, they have been separated for the past few days and were obviously counting down the minutes until they were together again.

And in a message of support DJ Samantha, 30, exclusively played material from the actress’s new album earlier this week at a gig in Las Vegas.

Her latest album, entitled ‘Spirit in the Dark’ features Neptunes producer Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg and Akon.

Listening in the crowd at the exclusive party were Shannon Elizabeth and Kelly Brook’s on/off boyfriend Billy Zane.

Another move indicating they are more than just friends is the $22,000 commitment ring Ronson bought the 22-year-old for her birthday last week.

Whatever the nature of their relationship, they certainly seem to make each other happy.

Could this be love?

It may be for Samantha Ronson, who shelled out nearly $22,000 for a Cartier diamond ring for presumed girlfriend Lindsay Lohan on Monday.

The two were out in Los Angeles window shopping, when Ronson, 30, bought the ring as a birthday gift for Lohan.

“Sam took Lindsay shopping to celebrate her 22nd birthday,” a source told UK’s The Mirror newspaper. “Although Lindsay is the major breadwinner, Sam has her own money and is very proud.”

But the wedding invitations aren’t going out yet.

“It’s not an engagement ring - simply a token of her commitment,” the source said.

Lohan and her gal pal have been inseparable since the two were caught kissing on Diddy’s yacht in Cannes in May. The actress has yet to clarify the nature of their relationship.

Lindsay Lohan turned 22 Wednesday night with an intimate prom-themed birthday bash – and a sweet smooch from Samantha Ronson.

The actress – wearing a bright pink strapless micro-minidress by Bradley Bayou and an elaborate diamond necklace – arrived at Teddy’s lounge inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel just after 10 p.m. And her companion Ronson took the prom-theme seriously, dressed to the nines in black pants, a tuxedo shirt, bow tie and top hat with red trim.

Once the 50 guests – including former Sopranos star Jamie Lynn Sigler and Lohan’s younger brother Michael – began arriving at the balloon-filled venue, the Birthday Girl greeted them all energetically with smiles, hugs and kisses. Ronson was never far behind, often keeping her hand on the small of Lohan’s back.

Just after midnight, Teddy’s wheeled out a large pink sheet cake featuring a picture of Marilyn Monroe in her iconic wind-blown white dress. The entire lounge sang “Happy Birthday” and Lohan obligingly blew out the candles. Her friends then chanted “speech, speech, speech,” but the guest of honor replied jokingly, “Shut the f— up.” (Her mother, Dina, stepped in to say, “Thank you all for coming.”)

Soon after that, Ronson took over the D.J. duties (replacing DJ AM), as she spun a mix of ’80s tunes and current hits. Lohan – who stuck to Red Bull all evening – made several visits to the booth and pumped her fists in the air to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

As the party wound down, the couple appeared to relax, even sneaking in a small peck on the lips at the DJ booth. By 1:15 a.m., the music was muted and Lohan turned out the lights with Ronson by her side.
