Madonna’s lifestyle may get in the way of her plans to adopt another child from Africa.
Malawi’s adoption officials say Madge’s sizzling fling with 22-year-old Brazilian hunk Jesus Luz - and her rumored hookup with Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez - may doom her desire to adopt 3-year-old Mercy James.
“Our official policy is that we do not encourage our children to be sent into broken homes,” said a senior official from Malawi’s Ministry of Women and Child Welfare Development, noting her split from hubby Guy Ritchie.
“[Madonna’s] relationships may negatively affect the adoption of Mercy,” the official said.
“The news she is linked to another woman’s husband and a young man less than half her age makes us question her morals.”
Officials are unhappy the 50-year-old Material Mom, who adopted toddler David Banda in Malawi in 2006, flaunted her relationship with Luz in a recent racy W Magazine spread.
Simon Chisale, Malawi’s child welfare chief, said morality plays a big part in the adoption process.
“We do not only look at the material issues, but also the moral standing of prospective adoptive parents, because we do not want our children’s morals to be corrupted,” Chisale said.
Still, he said he doubted Madonna’s social whirl would affect the outcome of her adoptive process.
“We do not apply the law retroactively,” he said.

WHILE Madonna has been busy squiring “baby” Jesus Luz around town - they dined at Macelleria Wednesday night - reporters in Brazil have been looking into the 22-year-old model’s recent past. According to newspaper colum nist Monica Bergamo, “Luz was dividing his time between two girlfriends before he encoun tered Madonna for a pictorial in W magazine. Every week he would stay with one or the other.” Asked for an inter view, Krishna Siqueira, one of his exes, demanded payment. Jesus, a fan of electronic music, was a regular at four different discos in Rio de Janeiro, where he lived with his mother, a beautician in an Ipa nema salon. One of his mother’s clients was a fashion execu tive who put him into model ing. Luz, a member of the Orkut social networking site, writes in his profile: “It is not important what the others think about us. The most important is what and whom [sic] we are. I have a clear con science even if I am con- demned. We cannot forget that Jesus was condemned.” Luz now calls the US home and has joined Kabbalah.

This is the no-holds-barred photoshoot where Madonna is said to have met Brazilian model Jesus Luz, who she is now rumoured to be romancing.
And judging by the pictures, it’s clear to see the newly single singer wasted no time getting acquainted with the 22-year-old poser.

In one shot the 50-year-old is seen locked in a passionate embrace with a topless Luz, while in another the model is pictured naked as Madonna looks on.
Other images reveal that Luz has his full name tattooed across the top of his back and in another the pair romp together on a hotel bed.
Madonna is featured in a 46-page spread in the March edition of American magazine W, clad in a Victoria Beckham black dress with white-trimmed sleeves and neckline.

She was photographed in a hotel room in Rio de Janeiro in December by celebrated photographer Steven Klein.
Madonna was apparently so enamoured with the handsome Latino, she asked him to accompany her for the remainder of the South America leg of her Sticky & Sweet Tour.

Earlier this month the couple were spotted dining out together in New York, which has fuelled speculation they are an item.
Since being linked to Madonna, it’s perhaps no surprise Luz’s modelling career has been given a huge boost.
His former agent Sergios Mattos, who runs 40 Graus Models, told the New York Post recently that Luz stopped taking his calls after meeting Madonna and has now signed to the more high-profile Ford Models.

Mattos told Brazilian website Glamurama.com.br: ‘He stopped answering his phone, his mother quit her job… But I wish him the best.
‘And now I have a new Jesus [Spanish model Jesus Perez]. This is a much better Jesus, and he’s not a fan of Madonna’s.’
A source close to model also told Glamurama Jesus had raised his modelling rates since meeting Madonna.

The source said: ‘He was asking for some $135,000 a show. He did the same job last year for a mere $225.
‘A lot of people are contacting him but because he keeps raising his rates, they are changing their minds.’
Luz is the second man to be linked to Madonna since she split from her now ex-husband Guy Ritchie in October.
Madonna denied reports last year she was involved with New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, who divorced his wife Cynthia last summer.

What was Guy Ritchie doing in ex-wife’s Madonna’s NYC apartment Tuesday? Apparently, trying to get along with her Madgesty for the sake of the kids.
“Madonna and Guy aren’t reconciling,” a source close to the couple tells us. “They’re working very hard to have an amicable divorce, because [Madonna’s daughter] Lourdes came to them begging, ‘Please don’t be mean to each other.’ Then she told them she wanted everything to be as friendly as possible.”
It looks like the 14-year-old’s sage advice worked.
“Madge and Guy are getting along better than they have in over a year,” an insider tells us. “Their separation has had a positive effect on their relationship as parents.”
So Ritchie, in town filming scenes for his “Sherlock Holmes” flick, paid a visit to Madonna’s pad and hung with their kids, Rocco and David.
It also seems like Madonna’s fellow kabbalah disciples are playing a part in keeping the peace.
“Kabbalah doesn’t encourage divorce,” says a pal of Madonna’s. “So her friends in the religion are pushing for them to reunite or, at the very least, maintain a solid friendship.”
Meanwhile, tabloid reports of Madge and her rumored paramour, Alex Rodriguez, are still swirling — but a source says that when the cat’s way, A-Rod will play.
“Alex is a horny dog,” a friend of the Yankee slugger tells us. “While Madonna is away, he isn’t going to just put on her records and look at her pictures and be satisfied. They’re both into playing games and making each other jealous. Madonna loves a good mind game, and she plays them well.”
Fingers crossed that Madge and Guy can keep up the civility for the benefit of their brood. Then maybe they won’t be the butt of jokes like Sacha Baron Cohen’s Golden Globes zinger: “This recession is affecting everyone. Madonna had to get rid of one of her personal assistants. … Our thoughts go out to you, Guy Ritchie.” Ouch!

A-ROD might want to haul it down to Brazil and keep an eye on his new lady.
Madonna, who was blamed for coming between Alex Rodriguez and his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Cynthia, is having a grand old time in Brazil while on her Sticky & Sweet tour - and without her Yankee boy toy.
According to Page Six spies and to Glamurama.com.br., the superstar singer - newly single after shelling out over $75 million to ex Guy Ritchie - shot an editorial layout for W magazine at the posh Hotel Gloria in Rio de Janeiro last weekend with a smoking hot male model, Jesus Luz.
“She was very interested in him,” our sources say - so interested that she invited Luz to join her tour in Sao Paolo and he accepted. “He’s there with her now and [photographer] Steven Klein is helping him get along with everyone.”

According to the Brazilian Web site, “Everyone knows they are ficando - which is a Portuguese expression that means they are kissing and doing other things but without any obligation of being faithful or getting into a relationship afterwards.”
Madonna’s beleaguered publicist, Liz Rosenberg, denied a report that her tight-fisted client had bought 20 watches (one for each member of her crew) so “they will always arrive on time.” She added, “But I’m still waiting to hear about Jesus.”
Onstage, Madonna has been soaking up the South American adoration. Earlier this week, during her first show in Sao Paolo’s Morumbi Stadium, she started to cry when some of the 70,000 attendees sang along with her in the theme song from Evita, “You Must Love.” She was mobbed at every turn by fans and press who all but ignored Sylvester Stallone and Tyra Banks, who were both there on business.
A few days later Madonna, staying at the Hotel Hyatt, attended a special ceremony hosted by a Brazilian rabbi.

Alex Rodriguez insists that he’s not moving in with Madonna - but a source says Her Madgesty is on a mission to find him a new home base just a stone’s throw from her own.
“Before his divorce, Alex was searching for houses on the upper East Side and Madonna offered to help him,” an insider tells us. “She wanted Alex to have a big house that would be suitable for kids, and she didn’t want a building with a nosy doorman who would talk. Madonna wanted a place where they could go and be together without prying eyes.”
Added a pal of the slugger: “They don’t want to be in the same apartment, but they do want to be near one another.”
In addition to Madonna’s apartment sleuthing, A-Rod’s friend says, “Both sides have sent their reps to look at places.”
Regardless of all the house-hunting, A-Rod claims that he and Madonna are “just friends,” despite the fact that both were conveniently in Mexico City last weekend. Rodriguez says his time was focused on running a baseball clinic for kids, but one source has a slightly different view of the all-star’s relationship with the Queen of Pop.
“Alex and Madonna are very, very cozy,” the insider reveals. “Yes, they are intimate, and they are intoxicated with one another. Alex can’t get over that he’s with Madonna.”
But the insider has some sage words of wisdom for Rodriguez: “This isn’t a deep and serious love affair. It will last as long as Madonna wants it to,” our leak predicts. “She could get five or six years out of it - but only if it’s in her best interest to keep him around.”

British courts yesterday ruled for the pop singer in her breach-of-privacy lawsuit against The Mail on Sunday - saying the paper shouldn’t have printed photos from Madonna and Guy Richie’s wedding that were spirited out of her home by an interior designer. Damages are to be awarded next month, and Madonna wants more than $6 million. Her rep claims any money made from The Mail would be donated to charity.
