Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams — Back On Again!

Thursday 21 August 2008 @ 6:41 am

On again!

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams have gotten back together, a source tells Usmagazine.com.

“They’ve been talking a lot,” a source tells Us. “Their friends are quite pleased that they’re getting back together and are trying to give them space.”

They reportedly dined at Grace restaurant in Toronto on Monday. McAdams also recently made an appearance at Gosling’s weekly deejay gig at Green Door lounge in Hollywood.

The two began dating shortly after wrapping their 2004 romantic film The Notebook.

“She’s inspired me to do so much,” Gosling told reporters shortly before their 2007 split. “She’s the most discerning person I’ve ever met. She’ll read a script 100 times. She’s relentless.”

After they called it quits, Gosling told GQ that women were “mad” at him.

“A girl came up to me on the street and she almost smacked me,” he said. “Like, ‘How could you? How could you let a girl like that go?’”

Of their split, Gosling said, “The only thing I remember is we both went down swingin’ and we called it a draw.”

Perez Hilton first reported the news.

The Week in Nip Slips

Sunday 24 June 2007 @ 1:07 pm

Rachel McAdams’ dress slipped down a little too far on the red carpet. There was no Ryan Gosling there to lend a hand.

Note to self - when you go bra-less, careful not to wear a see through shirt.

You’d think the interviewer would tell Lily Allen that she’s having an issue with her dress.

For the uncovered pics, see the sources below.

Brad Pitt & George Clooney Do ‘Entertainment Weekly’

Friday 8 June 2007 @ 1:38 am

Entertainment Weekly sits down the the bad boys of Ocean’s 13, two of Hollywood’s biggest pranksters — Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Here are some of the highlights!

Clooney: [To Pitt] You bastard!
Pitt: What?
Clooney: I did all these interviews right after you. And all the reporters told me, ‘’Brad said you did the movie for the money’’!
Pitt: [Laughs] I did. Believe I said it was all for the cash.
Clooney: Brutal! [Laughs] How ya doin’?
EW: Good, thanks. So I’ve heard that you guys call this movie Ocean’s Thirteen: The One We Should Have Made Last Time.
Pitt: Credit where credit is due. That was [director] Steven Soderbergh’s line.
Clooney: Steven actually wanted to bill it that way, but I don’t think the studio was so thrilled with that. It f—s up the boxed set.

EW: Do you ever look at each other and go, Hell, I wish I was in the Italian villa instead of changing diapers? Or: Man, I wish I had a couple of those rug rats?
Pitt: No.
Clooney: No.
Pitt: But I tell ya what, kids are a lot of hard work.
Clooney: It’s one of those difficult things [when you’re famous].
EW: Because of the endless scrutiny?
Clooney: Yeah. No one wants to hear you complain, because it sounds like you’re whining. But I think he and Angie have a tougher time living their lives, just going out to see the city with the kids. I mean, look out there, all the boats with the cameras. I was walking around on the beach yesterday and I just thought to myself, Where’s Brad? And all of a sudden you see the cameras all go WHOOOOSSSHH and I was like, Oh, here he comes! I watch that and think, Wow. I know it’s not all that fun for me, and it seems exponentially harder for him.

EW: Who do you like from that younger generation?
Clooney: I’ll tell ya, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are both really good actors. Both have great range and can do all kinds of stuff.
Pitt: I think Heath Ledger is really strong, as well.

Clooney: …muddled, right. So you have to pick your fights and go after them, and then it seems like you can help get things done, like the $9 million we’re raising [for Darfur refugees] tonight. [Pitt waves to someone, who turns out to be Angelina Jolie with their 5-year-old son, Maddox. Pitt smiles. Clooney waves and gets no response.] Niiice. Very nice. What am I? No wave for me?

EW: I’m curious what you think of the state of the male movie star in Hollywood right now.
Pitt: I’m actually a woman trapped in a man’s body. We’re going to be doing something about that soon.
EW: Is Angelina aware of this?
Pitt: Yeah, she’s all for it. Kinda into it, actually.

I totally agree with George on the talented actors Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, I love them! They are the best in young Hollywood and we need to see more of them.

Is Rachel McAdams Lying About Her Age?

Tuesday 22 May 2007 @ 1:40 pm

From Radar:
Rachel McAdams is too young to lie about her age—or is she?
The star of Wedding Crashers and The Notebook claims she was born in October 1978, making her 28. But imdb.com puts her birthday in 1976—and those who’ve looked into the matter believe the earlier date may be accurate.

Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana To Star in ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’

Tuesday 17 April 2007 @ 4:01 pm

Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana have inked deals to co-star in The Time Traveler’s Wife, a science-fiction love story based on the best-selling novel by Audrey Niffenegger. Bana will play Henry De Tamble, a librarian with a genetic disorder that causes him to shift back and forth through time. During his journeys through time, he meets and falls in love with Clare Abshire, a young heiress. Robert Schwentke, who most recently directed the Jodie Foster disappointment Flightplan, will take the reigns with a script by Jeremy Leven. Variety notes that a rewrite is currently being penned by Bruce Joel Rubin, who successfully combined high-concept and romance once before, with Ghost.

Shooting is scheduled to begin in August, with production duties being handled by Brad Pitt and Nick Wechsler, who is also producing the forthcoming Reservation Road and We Own the Night, and recently came off The Fountain, which Pitt famously backed out of after of a long engagement. The Variety story notes that McAdams has been dancing around this project ever since it was first snapped up by New Line in 2003. She’s since starred in New Line hits Wedding Crashers and The Notebook, so the part was probably hers to lose. Next up for McAdams is The Return, a story of soldiers rotating back to the world from Iraq. Bana’s next high-profile project is The Other Boleyn Girl, in which he plays King Henry VIII.

Rachel McAdams On The Cover Of Elle

Wednesday 7 March 2007 @ 8:29 am

RachelMcAdams-elle-cove1.jpg

Since I am pretty much chained to my computer these days (and either way far too lazy) so that I can't really venture out into the "real world" to buy myself a magazine, I want to give a little shout-out to Popbytes for scanning these pics from Rachel McAdams' photo spread for Elle magazine. As MK points out, Rachel's rocking the same gown as Beyonce did from the Oscars not all that long ago, albeit in a different hue.

And even though Rachel did mention her love, Ryan Gosling in her interview with the mag...

"He never does the same thing twice. He's very brave. I don't think he sees the point [in taking a role] unless he can find out what he's made of every time."
...it does seem a bit odd that she wasn't his date for the Oscars (he took his mom and sister), seeing as how they've been a bit on and off, engagement-wise. But then again, if I managed to get my ass to the Oscars, I know my mother and sisters would claim first dibs, muttering something to the effect of, "Boyfriend, schmoyfriend."
